What is it?
Airline KLM wants social media to be a huge factor in their customer service. Customers can place remarks or ask question on social media and expect an immediate answer from KLM. Social media is a a big source for a lot of companies, lots of information can be used from it. Besides that customers get an answer right away and it is much cheaper than the old way.

Why it’s cool?
It is a new way of customer service. Normally asking question via web takes long and getting an answer even longer. Using social media for this makes it faster and better. We all like things fast, because when it is not fast we take or business somewhere else!

Farid Tabarki from Studio Zeitgeist call this Radical Decentralization. This means people take matters into their own hands. Social media is very decentralized because almost everyone has it right in the pocket.
